The award under this year's theme- \'Think Global Go Global\', was received by Mr. S.
S. Sandhu, Chairman and Mr. N. S. Ghumman, Managing Director of Shivalik Bimetal
Controls Ltd., for the crucial role played by them towards the growth of the Indian
economy and for being the most globally competitive SME, whose business practices
are at par with global giants.

Mr. Kamal Nath, Honorable Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India was
the Chief Guest along with Mr. Lakshmi N. Mittal Chairman, Arcelor Mittal Stainless
& Nickel Alloys was the guest of honour, at the Emerging India Awards 2008 were
organized by CNBC-TV18 and ICICI Bank. The award ceremony in London was also
attended by various senior political dignitaries from United Kingdom and India.
On the occasion, Mr. S. S. Sandhu, Chairman, Shivalik Bimetal Controls Ltd., said,
"These awards recognize and showcase the value creating SMEs in the Indian economy
and gives them an excellent platform that gives visibility and honors these integral
